Artificial intelligence policy
We use artificial intelligence in part of our work, and we would rather say so plainly. This page explains what we use it for, where a person steps in, and what we do not do with it. We publish it voluntarily and in line with the transparency obligations of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 on Artificial Intelligence.
1. What we use artificial intelligence for
- Writing. We use ChatGPT (OpenAI) to prepare copy drafts: website text, blog articles and social posts.
- Development and website changes. We use Claude (Anthropic) to help us code and modify the sites we maintain.
- Images. We edit and compose images in Canva, which includes artificial intelligence features.
- Code. Occasionally we use Cursor to generate sections of code during development.
2. There is always a person behind it
None of these tools publishes anything on its own. Everything that leaves this studio (a text, a website, an image, a report) is reviewed and approved by someone at THE MÖNKY LAB before it is delivered or published, and editorial responsibility for the result is ours. Artificial intelligence speeds the work up; it does not decide what gets published, and it does not replace the judgement of whoever signs it.
3. What we do not do
- We do not use emotion recognition or biometric categorisation.
- We do not make automated decisions with legal effects on people.
- We do not profile visitors to the websites we build.
- We do not train artificial intelligence models on our clients' data.
4. AI-generated content
When we publish an image created with artificial intelligence that could pass for a real photograph, we label it as such. Illustrations and compositions that are obviously artificial carry no notice, because they mislead no one.
Texts prepared with the help of artificial intelligence go through human review and the editorial responsibility of THE MÖNKY LAB before publication.
5. If you ever talk to an automated system
If at some point we launch an assistant that talks to you directly (by chat, WhatsApp or phone), we will tell you at the start of the conversation, without you having to ask. As of today, when you write to us, a person answers.
6. Data processing
When we use these tools, some content is processed on their providers' servers, which may sit outside the European Economic Area. We avoid entering clients' personal data into them where it is not necessary. The detail of how we handle data, on what legal basis and what rights you have is in our privacy policy.
7. Updates
This page reflects the tools we use today. If they change, we update it. If you have questions about how we made something, ask us and we will tell you: hola@themonkylab.agency.
